Pick the Winner

At registration, place your bets on who you think will be crowned the 2012 Pac Rim Cup and the Canadian Gay Curling Champions. Simply select the name of the winning team and the point spread of their victory in the final game. One guess for $5 or three guesses for $10. Whoever guesses the closest keeps the cash. Deadline for ballot entries is 9:00 pm on Friday, February 3.

Old Farts Draw to the Button Competition

At registration, each team selects one player to participate in the Old Farts Draw to the Button Competition. Immediately following the Welcome Ceremony, participating curlers stay in the ice shed and go to their assigned sheet.

  • Each participating curler throws one stone. No sweeping is allowed. If the stone stops in the house, a volunteer will measure and record the stone’s distance from the button. The stone is then removed.
  • The eight curlers who draw closest to the button will play off in the final to be played before the final draw ceremony. Each curler is assigned to his/her own sheet. The curler whose stone draws closest to the button is deemed the winner. Congratulations Old Fart!
